1995 and Martin Phillipps finds himself recording Sunburnt in late summer at a recording studio on a bucolic river bank near Henley-on-Thames with producer Craig Leon (Blondie, Suicide, Richard Hell etc) and session legends Dave Gregory (XTC) and Dave Mattocks (Fairport Convention). After some time back in Dunedin, Martin Phillipps was ready to record again. Naturally reflective but a forward looking album too with the expected variety of material and style of which Martin Phillipps masters.
